Last week we started Project 52, from Simply Modern Mom’s blog. Friday night was supposed to be date #2 for us, but we had a fun opportunity to get away for the weekend and leave the kiddos with my parents, so we postponed the date until Saturday morning. We still had a good time Friday, [...] It’s beautiful outside today, & I’m about to take my girls for a little bike ride. The sun is shining and it’s not too cold. Spring is around the corner and I am HAPPY!!!!! I honestly get a little sad for pretty much the whole winter. It’s dark and horrible! This is Sydney’s favorite thing to do when Skyler opens the closet door for her. She likes to dive into a good book and just hang out. She’ll seriously be quiet for an hour just “reading”. She knows the words to a few of them and she’ll fake read them to [...] Last night Ping and I began what we expect to be the beginning of a year long adventure. We’re joining up with Simply Modern Mom’s, Project 52. What that means is that we signed a contract stating that we would take one night each week for the next 52 weeks and have a date night. We’d been shopping and test driving cars for a while, so we already knew what our options were before we went out to make a deal Saturday. We went to Big Red Sports and Imports last, because our favorite car was the Kia Sorento. It’s extremely comfortable, affordable, and has all the features that we [...] It’s a funny thing about having kids. Every stage is my favorite. Now matter how old they get, I think to myself, “Man this age is my favorite, for sure!” I hope that phenomenon lasts forever, because if it doesn’t, it’ll just be absolutely heartbreaking every second older they get. Yesterday, we did breakfast like we were supposed to, but then lunch turned into a crazy ordeal and nobody would eat anything at all. Shots make babies cranky sometimes, and they were too cranky to eat. For dinner, my turkey wasn’t completely thawed, so I [...] Or, In the Books…. I’m not sure which it’s supposed to be. We had everything we were supposed to have. I ACTUALLY ATE A TOMATO BY ITSELF!!!!! I don’t even eat tomatoes on burgers. When I was a kid, they gave me an instant and powerful gag reflex.
